V6 delivers a single PLM platform for all PLM business processes, available to anybody anywhere, spanning engineering groups, business and end users. V6 also gives intelligent access to all IP no matter the data source location, with proven MatrixOne technology built into the foundation.

V6 solutions for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) are built on a single Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) platform serving both multi-discipline engineering groups and the extended enterprise, from initial idea to the experience of the final product. This collaborative platform delivers flexibility, open standards, scalability and industry-specific solutions that accelerate product innovation across enterprise business processes and complex engineering processes.

DS’s V6 PLM solutions (CATIA, DELMIA, SIMULIA, ENOVIA) are scheduled for general availability in May 2008. As for previous major versions, DS will expand the value of customers’ existing PLM assets and continue to develop V5 releases, enabling transition to V6. As part of this effort, ENOVIA MatrixOne 10.8 is V6 enabled. By upgrading to 10.8, ENOVIA MatrixOne customers will be V6 ready.
 
Dassault Systemes is planning to deploy an Enovia SmarTeam solution on the V6 platform. New customers using the R18 SmarTeam Engineering Express (SNE) based data model will experience a simplified transition to V6. For existing customers, SNE can be applied to their data model at a later R18 service pack. It is anticipated that the majority of existing SmarTeam V5 implementations will upgrade after late 2009 or 2010.
