CATIA & SmarTeam Inter-Operability Seminar 17th Jan 08, UK

7th January 2008

Northampton, UK, 7th January 2008.

Design Rule is delivering a Seminar on CATIA & SmarTeam Inter-Operability on the 17th Jan 08 which is open to all CATIA users who have, or are considering, SmarTeam. SmarTeam is a PDM system highly optimised to manage CATIA data and models, as well as other product documentation, workflow and BOM; and is now included at no additional cost within the new CATIA Express configuration from Dassault Systèmes.

Bob Hillier, Managing Director of Design Rule, says “CATIA is used in many different industries, and at different stages of product development, all of which impose different data and model management requirements; needing specific working methodologies, integration options and data exchange tools. Design Rule recognises that many CATIA users want a better understanding of how SmarTeam addresses these issues, so we are delivering a seminar dedicated to answering all these inter-operability questions in under 4 hours”.

Attendees to the seminar will gain understanding of the alternative approaches to managing CATIA with SmarTeam and the most appropriate context for their use. The topics covered will range from general CATIA & SmarTeam best practice, managing large assemblies, concurrent design methods, data exchange with OEMs (e.g. Airbus) and Suppliers, integration of remote CATIA workers and electronic signature for CAA. The seminar aims to show ‘best practice’ methodologies and tools available from Dassault Systèmes and third parties, supported by examples of proven in-production references.
