ENOVIA V6R2010 Highlights.
Users of ENOVIA V6R2010 benefit from improvements in the overall system foundation, and execution of Governance, Global Sourcing, IP Lifecycle Management, and Unified Live Collaboration business processes. ENOVIA V6 is build upon the proven MatrixOne PLM SOA platform. Below are some of the key highlights of this release:
ENOVIA Governance
- New ENOVIA Program Change Control provides advances in program management to coordinate and manage multiple changes simultaneously within highly complex products. These ensure accurate execution of changes, global tracking and complete traceability at the program level.
- New ENOVIA IP Export Classification helps companies in globalized industries limit their exposure to IP loss and to large fines by managing and enforcing export control compliance (e.g. International Traffic in Arms Regulations, ITAR, for the aero and defense industries) and internal company policies.
ENOVIA Global Sourcing
- ENOVIA Sourcing Central creates request-for-quotes (RFQs) automatically from AVL and bill-of-material (BOM) data to minimize inaccuracy and unnecessary iterations.
- ENOVIA Apparel Accelerator for Sourcing and Production fully integrates sourcing plans with development and assortment planning to avoid missed deadlines.
- New ENOVIA Supplier Representative allows participation in the supplier qualification and development processes with a more focused user experience.
ENOVIA IP Lifecycle Management
- With a new, dedicated scalable offering, V6 breakthrough technology is available for mid-market companies and small teams or departments of larger companies. New solutions enable enterprise users to participate in the product development process in a native Microsoft® Office environment, and designers to work in an immersive life-like design data management solution.
- V6R2010 includes additional migration and coexistence scenarios for ENOVIA V4 and ENOVIA V5 customers, which further eases the transition to V6 and extends the value of customers’ existing PLM assets.
- V6R2010 offers a seamless environment for integrated hardware and software SOC (System On a Chip) development in the semiconductor industry. This is made possible by the integration of ENOVIA DesignSync and Eclipse, a major open source software platform.
- New ENOVIA CPG Accelerator for Integrated Product Management manages Consumer Packaged Goods specifications with multi-level BOMs. This results in improved accuracy of the product record and integrated change management processes.
- ENOVIA Designer Central introduces a new immersive user interface allowing seamless access to ENOVIA V6 from a variety of CAD tools (e.g. AutoCAD/Inventor, CATIA, SolidWorks, Bentley, ProEngineer, NX, SolidEdge, UG, etc.), providing ease of use and improved productivity.
- New ENOVIA VPM Change Tracking enables CATIA / DELMIA change controlled design, under enterprise change management authority with full traceability.
- New ENOVIA X-BOM Unit Tracking manages precise as-built bills-of-material to maintain products from shipment to retirement.
ENOVIA Unified Live Collaboration
- ENOVIA Live Collaboration tracks meetings for resolving product development issues and recording key decisions for future reference.
- ENOVIA Live Collaboration includes a 3DVIA Live Viewer to visualize and markup functionality to enable global access to engineering CAD data.
- New ENOVIA Report Generator intuitively presents complex product data so end users can make more informed decisions.
- ENOVIA X-BOM for VPM V4-V5 provides a bi-directional exchange of a configured product structure between CATIA designers and the extended enterprise.
